Dayara Bugyal – The Meadow Trek of Uttarakhand
One of India’s most beautiful alpine meadows, Dayara Bugyal opens into rolling grasslands
at ~3,650 m with sweeping views of Bandarpunch, Srikanth, Jaonli and other Garhwal
peaks. The trail from Raithal passes through oak–rhododendron forests, wooden huts, and
clearings that burst into wildflowers in summer and turn into a snowfield in winter.
Suitable for beginners and families, this trek offers big-mountain vistas without technical
difficulty, plus comfortable campsites like Gui and the Dayara meadows.
Duration: 4 Days / 3 Nights • Best Time: March–June & Oct–Jan (snow in Dec–Jan) •

Tour Plan
Morning pickup from Dehradun and drive to Raithal (2,250 m) via Uttarkashi (7–8 hrs).
Trek briefing, gear check. Overnight in homestay/guesthouse.
Gentle 4–5 km climb through mixed oak–rhododendron forest to Gui (~2,900 m).
Acclimatization walk, sunset views. Overnight in tents.
Trek onto the Dayara Bugyal meadows; if weather allows, continue to
Dayara Top (~3,650 m) for panoramas of Bandarpunch & Srikanth. Return to
Gui (or camp at Dayara as per conditions). Overnight in tents.
Trek back to Raithal (easy descent). Post-lunch depart for Dehradun.
Trip ends with meadow memories and stellar photos.
